PEACE ALERT: Senseless Killings in The Black Community, Where is the Outcry for Peace?

 

     On May 9th in the late hours of the night, Jayven Hubbard, 18, was viciously gunned down in an apartment complex on the Southeast side of town, his killers have yet to be found. Investigators search vigorously with no leads at the time, while his mother is left with the essence of her son through his music, as they celebrate his life with a balloon release on Friday the 13th.

 The sound of his family members reciting the words of his songs, remembering who he was rings through the neighborhood. His memorial of balloons and candles sits upon the sidewalk in remembrance of a life that was taken at that very scene.

 He was 18, an up-and-coming star in the community, a son, a brother, and a victim. Another senseless killing in the black community, another life that could've been spared. 

What could he have done that was so bad?

Bad enough to have his life taken from him.

 Did the killers even think twice? 

The answer to that is no, no they did not think twice, because if they did, they would not have ended another person's life. 

It is without remorse that people do these things, the compassion is just not there anymore. We see this every day in every situation. This was a child, at the end of the day, he was a child, and he did not deserve to die at the hands of another man, his life was cut short, and for what? No one will ever know. It truly disgusts me at the fact that people can have it in their hearts to kill another man. What gives a person the right to kill another person if it wasn't labeled self-defense?  Now there is a life lost, and a killer out there wondering when is his last day free? 

FUN FACT: The only way you can be legally considered a slave is to be incarcerated, you will work for nothing, and you will comply with every rule and regulation. So why even do wrong, people just don't think. 

The youth these days are feeding their subconscious with straight BS, and it is lingering within them causing them to think that it is cool, but it is not. No mother should have to bury their child.

 Rest in peace to the ones that are lost from the senseless violence and crime that occurs in our community, may your souls find rest.  Peace Alert!!! WE NEED PEACE TODAY!!!!
